DO YOU WANT TO KNOW JESUS?

If you have found this Blog and you don't yet know Jesus but want to, then please read this page.

What must I do to be saved?

To be saved you must turn away from sin, believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and receive Him as Lord and Saviour of your life.

Here is a step-by-step process:

1.  First, you must consider your life and then turn away from everything in it that is contrary to what God wants. This turning away from selfishness and toward God is called repentance (Acts 3:19).

2.  Second, you must acknowledge that Jesus Christ died on the Cross to forgive you of sin.  You must ask Him into your heart and receive Him as your Saviour to cleanse you from all sin - as the substitute who paid the price due for your sin (Romans 5:9; Titus 2:14).

3.  Third, you must ask Jesus to be Lord of your life, acknowledging openly and verbally that Jesus is not only your Saviour but your Lord (1 John 2:2).

The Bible says that as many as received Him were given the power to become the sons of God (John 1:12). So when you open your heart and receive Him, He comes into your heart - your inner person - through His Holy Spirit and begins to live His life in you. From that point on it is your privilege and call to confess what God has done (Romans 10:9).

Prayer of Salvation

Dear Heavenly Father, I admit that I have rebelled against you and that I have run my life my own way.  For this I am sorry and I repent. I acknowledge that Jesus Christ, your Son, died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin and that You raised him from the dead. I thank you for sending Jesus and I accept the sacrifice He made for me.  I now ask Jesus into my heart by faith to be Lord of my life.  I also ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  Accept me as a child into your Kingdom, I pray in Jesus name.  Amen.

    1. Hi Christine,

Receiving the Holy Spirit is a matter of faith, not feelings. If you have asked Jesus for the gift of the Holy Spirit, then believe He has given it to you. In time you will realise He is there, within you.

Do you know other Christians you can fellowship with? That will help build up your faith. Pray and read your Bible each day and ask Jesus to speak to you and to guide you. He will!

I will be praying for you.

      Blessings,
      Bonnie
